The following is cost information for all laser and lens implant services as of 1/1/09
LASIK and PRK:
$1495.00 for "standard" LASIK, per eye (total $2990)
$1695.00 for "standard" PRK, per eye (total $3390)
$1695.00 for "custom" wavefront LASIK or PRK, per eye (total $3390)
Above cost includes preoperative testing, surgery and 3 months of follow-up care
Preoperative dilated examination may be billed to insurance (this exam is based on a routine eye exam)
Enhancement, if needed, is an additional fee, usually performed "at cost"
Toric intraocular lenses to treat astigmatism: Acrysof
$900 to $1100 approximate total charges, per eye, depending on surgery center
(There are two charges per eye: The surgeon's fee and the cost of the lens implant)
Insurance copays and deductibles still apply and may increase your out-of-pocket expense for surgery
Enhancement with the excimer laser, if needed, is an additional fee, usually "at cost"
Enhancement with Limbal relaxing incisions, if needed, are an addition fee, usually "at cost"
Multifocal intraocular lenses to treat presbyopia: Rezoom, or Restore
$2000 approximate total charges, per eye, depending on surgery center
(There are two charges per eye: The surgeon's fee and the cost of the lens implant)
